About Us

Hello and Welcome! My name is Chelsea Aragon and I am the owner of Paws, Claws, Scales, & Tails.

I grew up caring for a variety of animals including cats, dogs, fish, ferrets, bunnies, bearded dragons, and rats. Currently, I own two cats and three dogs. I also foster through the Puurrrfect Paws Cat Rescue. In 2013, I earned a B.S. in education but quickly realized my passion was for animals. I became a professional Pet Sitter in 2017. Ever since, I have been providing loyal and loving pet care and services to the Montgomery County, TN area.

Our team prides themselves on their patience, kindness and competence — and our clients would agree. It’s why so many of them use our services on a regular basis. Remember, no job is too big or too small for us to handle, so please get in touch. We can’t wait to start caring for your precious pets.

Friendly, excellent communication, punctual, caring, and they're true animal lovers! Our home is always left super tidy & our boy is well fed and looked after."

Questions and Answers

Home: FAQ

What are your credentials?

We possess both business licenses - Montgomery County and the City of Clarksville. We have insurance through Pet Sitters Associates and are Dog and Cat CPR certified through the Red Cross. All documentation is available upon request.

What services do you offer?

We provide drop in and overnight visits in your home. For more information, refer to the services page. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us.

Do you have experience with rare or exotic pets?

Yes. We have provided care for many different types of pets including bearded dragons, chinchillas, tortoises, birds, chameleons, gerbils, hamsters, rats, snakes, goats, chickens, llamas, fish, etc. Any creature you have, we will care for and love it like it is our own!

My pet needs to go to the vet. Will you take them?

Absolutely! If your pet needs to go to the vet during our visit, we will contact you beforehand for your approval unless it is a life threatening emergency.
We have taken pets to the vet for observed illnesses during our visit as well as taken pets to scheduled vet visits that an owner is unable to attend.

Will I get updates about my pet(s) from your visits?

Yes. We use the app Time to Pet. This is where you will receive arrival notices and reports with photos after every service.

Will you walk my animal? If so, how many animals can you walk at once?

Yes, we would love to walk your animal! Unless a second service provider is available, we will walk one animal at a time. Safety is our top priority and we cannot safely protect multiple animals at one time.

Example: An aggressive off leash dog approaches your dogs while we are walking. Both leashed dogs pull in opposite directions or attempt to defend themselves. In this instance, the service provider must try to protect both dogs at one time which is an extreme safety hazard for your pets and the service provider.

What is your cancellation policy?

Do you provide care for special needs animals?

Yes, we are able to provide oral, topical and injectable medications but you must sign the medical consent form before a service provider can administer any medication. If your pet(s) begin a new medication or stop taking a medication, you must fill out and sign a new medical consent form.
We have provided care for animals with special needs including anxiety, seizures, thyroid conditions, cushing syndrome, diabetes, URI, FIV, renal failure, cancer, etc.

Can I meet you before booking the service?

Yes, of course! Meet and greets are free and are required to be completed before the first scheduled service.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! We are always accepting new clients; however, availability may be limited. It is best to submit your booking requests as soon as possible. We typically book three months at a time. If your booking is further than 3 months in advance, you can still submit the request. The request will remain in our digital queue on the booking site. When we begin booking for that time period, previously submitted requests will be processed first.
